Painting the fiberglass on your boat hull can be a great way to improve its appearance and make it look brand new. but if your boat deck leaves a lot to be desired, that work can be for naught.. Read and follow all application instructions carefully. mix only what you will use in a 4-hour period. you may also need to thin the paint during the application process to maintain a working viscosity. now is the time to mask off your area that you do not want paint on. make sure to use a good tape like 3m fine line tape.. Refurbishing an existing deck. this can be difficult to do, however the easiest way is to sand the existing system back to a smooth finish and re-apply undercoat / topcoat / additive powder. attempting to clean and prepare the existing surface and then apply new coats of paint may result in the original non-skid finish being partially buried..
